Why Should You Volunteer at the Viking Invitational?

The DHS Viking Invitational is important because it is the single largest fundraiser that the Instrumental Music Boosters does. The money generated by the Viking Invitational goes towards funding ALL of the instrumental music groups at DHS. It's no secret that the School District only provides a small fraction of what it takes to run the types of programs you have come to expect at DHS. The more volunteers we have at the Viking Invitational, the greater the success, and quite frankly we will all have more fun.

Reasons To Volunteer:

• You will be helping the students continue their wonderful music education
• You WILL have FUN
• You will get to meet lots of other great band families from around the state
• It's a great way to show off our High School and the friendly people here
• You get to be around your band student (even if they don't want you around)
• You get to know the other band kids (they are really a pretty good bunch)
• You will get to see some good bands from other schools
• Did I mention that you will have fun?
